Abstract
Two cases traumatic chronic osteomyelitis of tibial bone were presented with surgical treatment. After extensive saucerization using electric sew with excision of all scarred soft tissue and unhealthy bone in the lesion, one was covered on the bone cavity and wound area by regional rotating pedicle skin flap graft after trasplantation of peroneous longus muscle belly so called "periosteal - mucle - skin rotating graft" and the other was made of cross leg pedicle skin flap graft after cancellous bone graft to the bone cavity. In these patients, the medullary cavity was opened at the depth of the saucerized wound.
On the post operative wound area, the pressure was applied by the elastic bandage with fine mesh gauze in the post operative dressing in order to suitable compression of skin graft for immoblization and with due to wide bony defect.
We obtained following advantages from these operative procedure,
1) less bleeding
2) less tissue damage
3) much more vascularization
4) acceleration of healing process etc.
